Hello, I'm Ashley.
Hammond's hair and beauty is a home based salon setting. I use vegan friendly products. All appointments are on a private one-to-one basis.
My contact number and location can be found at the bottom of this page as well as my social media platforms.
Please let me know if you are going to be late to your appointment. Also let me know if you have arrived early incase I am still with someone.
I do have a work whatsapp group where I post offers and things like last minute availability - please message me if you would like to be added.

• DEPOSITS - I take a 25% deposit for all bookings, which is taken off your total when you come to pay at your appointment. I require a minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation/rearranging an appointment. If less notice is given, your deposit will be forfeited - this is to partially cover the loss of earnings that will incur when I can no longer fill your space. No exceptions.
• Silent/working appointments are an option to add to any service for those with anxiety issues, those who don’t like to chat, for anyone just wanting some quiet time or perhaps need to do some work whilst here. Please feel free to book this option, your comfort is very important to me.
• I am booked up in advance. Please join the waiting lists online for specific days you are after and you will be alerted via email if something becomes available. To avoid disappointment, please schedule your next appointment in advance. I’m happy to do this for you in salon after your visit.
• Existing colour clients wishing to make a change to their colour will need a consultation before booking your appointment. Ideally a face to face consultation is best, but sometimes a virtual consultation can be carried out instead. If you would prefer a virtual consultation, I will need you to send me pictures of your hair currently in natural day light and some inspiration photos of what you are thinking of having.
• SKIN TESTING: All new clients MUST have a skin test at least 24 hours before a hair colour, eyebrow/eyelash tint or eyelash lift. ALL clients MUST have a new patch test yearly. If anything medically changes, you must let me know and have a repeat skin test - this includes having had covid or any vaccinations.
• All colour appointments need a blow dry or haircut adding to them. If you do want to leave with wet hair, that’s fine but I can’t check the colour properly as wet hair is a completely different colour. Please select the after colour blow dry option if a haircut is not needed.
• If you are coming for a colour, please wash your hair 24/48 hours prior. It is a total myth that dirty hair takes colour better. It actually creates a barrier making it harder for the colour to penetrate. There is no need to wash your hair on the day of your appointment - this can actually be more harmeful then good.
• Please do not wear a hoodie, turtle neck/high collars or expensive clothing to your appointment. Hoods and turtle necks/high collars get it the way and expensive clothes may get colour on and damage them.
• If wearing make-up to your appointment, be aware that it might get washed off around the edges.
• All bookings require a 25% deposit payment. This partially covers myself in the event of a no show or last minute cancellation or last minute rescheduling.
• The studio is not suitable to bring children/babies to while you have your service. Children are of course welcome for their own individual appointment, but there is no waiting area or space for them to wait while you have your service.
• There are no toilet facilities in the studio. You may use the facilities in my family home if you feel comfortable.
• 48 hours notice for cancellations or rearranging is required. Failure to comply with this will result in you losing your deposit.
• Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are late, I might have to reschedule your appointment, or only offer part of the original service booked. If you are early, please send me a text as I might still be with someone. If not, and I am ready I will happily see you earlier.
• If you are ever in doubt on what to book, please send me a message so I can assist you. Incorrect bookings can cause issues if it’s not scheduled enough time for your appointment.
• Please note the timings and the cost of your booking as you make it - it comes up when you select your services. Colour takes a long time, so please plan your appointment carefully and bring lunch with you if need be.
• I use a more natural and organic colour brand. There are added health benefits to this as well as being kinder to the hair. As a result, some forms of extreme blonding may take more then one session and my colour range only offers semi-permanent pastel fashion colours - no vivid colours.
